There are some really simple steps in making your house a home. See some points below that will help you create a home that you love to be in. And obviously I am here to help you do it!
Creating the right mood for you
What colours evoke what emotions in you? Think about this when choosing colours for your rooms. It is very easy to change accessories but not so easy or cheap to change paint, furniture or wallpaper.
Don't be afraid to be bold
If you want it- get it. That's my motto! (within reason and if you can afford it!) I always hear 'it might not go with the room' 'it's not the right shade of green' so what!!!! If you like it you can make it work :) not everything has to match.
Adding those personal touches
We love axolotls in this house! So this print was perfect for our downstairs toilet! Don't be afraid to put your personality into your house. It can be as simple as some quirky mugs or a cool print. You can also be creative with displaying family photos.
Choose the right patterns
You can add pattern to your room through wallpaper, prints, textiles and tiles. I offer bespoke patterns and prints so if you have something in mind that's a bit different please discuss!
Add texture
The use of textures is so important in creating a cosy environment to relax in. Layer soft, tactile surfaces together in textiles and matt/glossy/ textured surfaces in hard goods such as lighting and accessories.
Layering and multi-use products
Think outside the box. This is a placemat that I have used as an arm rest layering on top with a trivet for a coaster :) be clever in what you use and some things can be used for many purposes!
